Many new barns, and some older barns, have curtains or sidewalls which can be raised and lowered depending on the temperature and weather conditions. This increases natural ventilation in the barn, and ensures the air in the barn is fresh. Barns which do not have these curtains have a series of fans and vents for air movement.
