Visitors to farms should obey all biosecurity measures and not enter barns or other farm buildings without permission of the owner. During the Foot and Mouth disease crisis in the United Kingdom in 2002, all national airports and even some farmers introduced preventative footbaths to help ensure that diseases were kept out of Canada, and out of their barns.
