Image# B021 - Transporting cattle
Cattle should be loaded and unloaded from trucks in safe manners. When possible, the use of ramps is recommended. Ramps should be strong and solid, should provide safe footing and should have sides high enough to prevent cattle from falling or jumping off. Guidelines for transporting beef cattle can be found in the Recommended Code of Practice for the Care and Handling of Farm Animals - Transportation (www.carc-crac.ca).
